Professor of English at the Department of Modern Letters, University of São Paulo, with extensive teaching experience in Higher Education, Linguistics, Translation and Law, with emphasis on legal language, critical discourse analysis and corpus linguistics. Founder and Executive Director of TradJuris - Law, Language & Culture from 2007 to 2018. Visiting Professor (2016) and Advisor Professor (2017-2018) in the Translation and Corpora research line of the Graduate Program in Translation (TRADUSP) FFLCH/USP. Author of the books: “Legal English: Translation and Terminology” (2014) and "I Don't Want Another Caesarean Section: Ideology, Power Relations, and Empowerment in VBAC Birth Stories" (2015). Currently she supervises under the Graduate programs in Foreign Letters and Translation (LETRA) and in Linguistics and Literary Studies in English, both at the Department of Modern Languages. Her research focuses on ​​Translation and Power. Main topics of interest: translation, publishing and feminism, translation historiography, 19th-century women translators, language policy, and academic writing and gender.
