1. ACQUISITION AND LEARNING OF ITALIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (research projects)

This research line is concerned with the processes of acquisition and learning of Italian by Brazilian students and, particularly, with issues related to the specifics of teaching this language and its use in different contexts.

2. SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ITALIAN FROM A BRAZILIAN PERSPECTIVE (research projects)

This research line investigates the varieties of spoken and written Italian in Brazil through the analysis of oral and written texts produced by a vast typology of native speakers and Brazilians.

3. ITALIAN LITERATURE AND CULTURE (research projects)

This research line studies the presence of Italian literature in Brazilian culture and literature and, vice-versa, the reception of Brazilian literary works in Italy. In addition to its concern with the strictly literary field, this research line investigates the relations between Italy and Brazil through cultural and mediatic expressions in both countries.
